The ombré and dip dyed hair trend has been building slowly since last year but has recently taken a much stronger hold. The dip dyed hair makes it an accessory to an outfit - tying it in, as if the ends of the hair were a colorful scarf draping from the neck. It's something fun, new and different! On the other hand, the ombré, which translates to "shadow" in French, is a little more subtle, with dark roots gradually becoming bleached out ends. Sarah Jessica Parker has regularly worn her hair like this for years...and now it's really catching on. Love it! ♥

i got my ombre hair did in october, and have been slowly bleaching the ends more and more....i'm planning on getting lilac by the end of the summer!
